Services
Empowering you. Empowering connection. Empowering change.
At In Good Company Counselling, our team of registered clinical counsellors brings years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families across British Columbia. We specialize in inclusive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care that honours each client’s unique story. As a queer and neurodivergent-led practice, we understand the importance of safety, authenticity, and belonging in the healing process.
Therapy with us is collaborative, not prescriptive. We draw from relational, somatic, and emotion-focused approaches to help you explore patterns, strengthen connection, and move toward the life you want to live. Whether you’re seeking individual support, relationship repair, or guidance for your family, we offer a compassionate and practical space to begin.
-

Individual Counselling
Reconnecting to self through awareness and compassion.
Individual counselling offers a dedicated space to explore your inner world, clarify patterns, and build tools for resilience. You might be navigating anxiety, burnout, identity exploration, self-criticism, or life transitions. Therapy supports you in slowing down, identifying what matters, and aligning your actions with your values, often while processing traumas and events of the past. At In Good Company, we approach this work collaboratively, blending evidence-based practices with a relational lens so you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow at your own pace.
-

Couples & Relationship Counselling
Cultivating connection through curiosity and care.
Relationship therapy helps partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and deepen emotional connection. Whether you’re repairing after conflict, exploring non-monogamy, or wanting to feel closer, sessions offer a supportive and structured space to understand patterns and create new ways of relating. Our team of registered clinical counsellors integrates approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and the Developmental Model with relational-cultural and attachment-informed perspectives to help partners move from defensiveness toward empathy, repair rupture, and move toward connection and understanding.
-

Family Counselling (3 +)
Creating understanding across generations
Families are systems. When one part shifts, the whole changes. Family counselling helps members better understand one another, strengthen communication, and navigate transitions like blending households, parenting challenges, or healing from past conflict. At In Good Company, we support families in slowing down reactive patterns, listening with empathy, and building shared language for care and accountability. Our therapists create a grounded, compassionate space where each voice can be heard and honoured.
-

Youth & Teen Counselling
Helping young people feel understood, not managed.
Adolescence is a time of enormous change, identity, belonging, and emotional regulation can feel overwhelming. Counselling gives teens and young adults a confidential space to express themselves freely, develop coping tools, and strengthen their sense of self. Our therapists specialize in working with neurodivergent and queer youth, using creativity, curiosity, and collaboration to build trust and confidence. We help young people connect to their values, communicate more effectively, and develop emotional awareness that lasts into adulthood.
-

Hormone Readiness Assessments
Affirming care that honours you, your story, and your autonomy.
Our hormone readiness assessments are designed to be affirming, trauma-informed, and client-centred. Available with select, trained clinicians, we partner with you to explore readiness and aid in providing supportive documentation for your medical team. Therapy in this context offers space to process emotions, navigate systemic barriers, and strengthen self-advocacy. We recognize that every transition journey is unique, and our role is to walk alongside you with respect, clarity, and compassion.
-

Low Cost Counselling
Accessible support without compromising care.
Our low-cost counselling program offers reduced-fee sessions with practicum students under close supervision from our experienced team. This option is ideal for individuals, couples, or families seeking quality support at a more accessible rate. Sessions focus on your goals, strengths, and lived experiences while maintaining the same client-centred, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach you can expect across In Good Company.
How We Work
At In Good Company Counselling, every service is guided by the same values that shape how we show up, with compassion, clarity, and collaboration.
Connection
Healing happens in relationship. We prioritize trust, care, and genuine human connection.
Collaboration
You are the expert of your own experience. We bring our clinical training and walk beside you in the process.
Authenticity
We value honesty and curiosity over perfection. Therapy is a space to be real, not polished.
Growth
We focus on sustainable change that lasts beyond the therapy room, helping you build insight and skills for life.
